Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a subscription box that helps you to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. Each month you'll receive a delivery of 4-7 new products to try, ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare.
I have wanted to try this box for a while, so I was excited to have the chance to review it and wanted to see how this box compares to other beauty boxes. I just tried their Snack Box for the first time and was satisfied, so let’s see how this box is.
Cost: $19.95 - Free shipping to US, $8 to Canada, $15 internationally
Colour Club Mini Lacquer Kit (Harlem Lights)
$12
4 mini polishes in nice shades. After getting so many in my Julep Mystery Box, I’m a bit overwhelmed in nail polishes right now, but I like this collection.
Jersey Shore Sun Vegan Lip Conditioner (Wintermint)
$4
Can’t go wrong with lip balm, it's essential this time of year.
Ferro Eye Candy 15 Hour Mineral Eyeshadow (Secret)
Sample
A beautiful neutral creamsicle colored mineral eye shadow a kick of soft peach shimmer flecks pops on fair skin, and softens to a pale creamsicle on medium to darker tones. I think it's a very pretty colour and it can be used dry or wet for a more intense colour.
Soapbox Black Soap Body & Soul Wash
Sample
Authentic, healing, rejuvenating. Black soap is made from activated charcoal and a blend of all natural essential oils, and has been used for thousands of years to improve skin health. Interesting product, would’ve liked to see a bigger sample though.
La Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser
2 samples
Handy and convenient, I’ve come to appreciate La Fresh samples.
Everyday Minerals Blush & Finishing Powder
Samples
I don’t like makeup samples in these little ziplocs, but it’s mineral makeup so I forgive them.
Lavishy Faux Leather Zippered Pouch
$4?
I found it odd to see a coin pouch in the box. Not my style, but I’m sure any young girl would think it’s cute.
Overall my impressions of this box are mixed. I would rather use cruelty-free brands and natural products, so it’s good on that hand, but on the other hand I’m sort of underwhelmed. For this price, I do expect more. It’s too bad, because I kind of had high hopes for the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, but it didn’t do much for me. If it was slightly less expensive, then I'd be more content with this box.
