Before we get into the latest GlobeIn review, here are a few updates:
- The Benefit Basket subscription has been discontinued starting January 2017. This is primarily due to the growing popularity of the GlobeIn Club as well as the continuous demand for the full Artisan Box experience, which enable them to place really large orders with the artisans. All Benefit Basket subscribers could choose either to upgrade to the Artisan Box, transition to the GlobeIn Club, or cancel their subscription and get a refund.
- Due to high holiday demand, GlobeIn has run out of this month's Love Boxes. Therefore, everyone who subscribes until January 15th will not be able to choose "Love" as their January theme. You can choose from 8 other different Artisan Box themes! All Artisan Box subscribers will be able to see all available theme options in their subscription settings.

The theme of the January Artisan Box is...Love!
This is the love box. Love is a box. Love is a box you are holding, a box you are opening. Love is an opening, a holding, is you. Love is a piece of chocolate broken off, a pile of sand blown into glass. Love is a wine, a quiet toast.
Love is a thoughtfully set table, a word of affirmation whispered softly to the self. Love is a napkin on the lap. Love is a woven bowl ready to be filled. Love is already.
In Kenya, the Caribbean, Mexico, and India, love is global and local at once. Love is an always bazaar, handmade and open to all, touching down wherever you are.
Included is a GlobeIn info booklet and a GlobeIn Greeting Card.
Hand Blown Wine Glasses - Set of Two (Mexico)
These wine glasses are beautiful and excellent quality! The glasses are 7.5" tall and hold 11 oz. Made in Tonalá, a city in the Mexican state of Jalisco and one that is bursting at the seams with handicrafts. Especially known for its exquisite pottery and glass, the city hosts weekly street markets where locals, travelers, and treasure-hunters comb for goods.
I was so disappointed to find that one of my glasses arrived broken, so that's why there's only one pictured here. They were packed extremely well in newspaper and thick bubble wrap, so I don't know how it got damaged. The stem broke right off and there were small shattered pieces everywhere. I will not be able to salvage it.
Shibori Napkin Set (India)
Traditionally a Japanese art form, Shibori is an intricate process of dyeing cloth in which stitching, binding, and folding are used to create captivating geometric patterns. We've seen a lot of tie-dye products from GlobeIn. I like that these napkins each have a different geometric pattern.
Soapstone Word Heart (Kanya)
Soapstone is a soft rock, popular in sculpture for its ability to be molded into various and complex shapes. This soapstone heart is carved with a heartfelt word and was crafted by the Shona people, whose traditional stone sculptures are known around the world. Designs and colours will vary.
Soapstone Dish (Kenya)
This cute soapstone dish measures 4" x 4". You can use it to fill with candy, jewelry, or whatever else you can think of.
Subscribers will receive one of the three designs: black, green, or "green elephant".
Organic Dark Chocolate Caramel Crunch with Sea Salt (Dominican Republic)
We received this in a past GlobeIn box and I remember loving it. I'm happy to have more.
Palm Leaf Heart Bowl (Mexico)
I like this special variation on the usual basket. It has a cute, heart-shaped pattern around it.
This month's GlobeIn Artisan Box has a total value of $70.50. I really loved this box! It would be perfect for a romantic dinner for two and I like that we received it before Valentine's Day. The quality of the items never fails to impress me. The craftsmanship is exceptional! Today is the last day to subscribe to the January Artisan Box! Just remember, that the "Love" box is sold out and you will get your choice of several other themed boxes.
