Here’s a great new Canadian food subscription box for you all - ChefButler! Each month, ChefButler will deliver boxes containing the unique recipes, high-quality dry ingredients and sauces needed to create a full meal.
All of the ingredients are high quality, fresh, and authentic. They grind the spices for your ChefButler Box just before shipping, so you can be assured of the best flavour. As soon as I opened the box I could smell all the wonderful spices.
The box only includes what you need for one meal, freeing up clutter in your cupboards as you don’t have to store excess ingredients that are likely to go stale. Each box will serve four people (or two people with delicious leftovers).
When you are ready to make your meal, use the included shopping list to buy your fresh ingredients. The Game Plan is to guide you in the meal preparation. Then, get creative! ChefButler delivers the inspiration and the ingredients. You measure the ingredients, tweak the recipe to your taste, and make it your own. The recipes are straight-forward and easy to follow.
You can receive boxes every month, or every other month. If you change your mind - no problem. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Cost: $35 / month - Canada only.

November's box include recipes from Jamaica, with a meal centered on two Jamaican staples - jerk spice and rice & peas.
Jamaican Coleslaw
Jerk Chicken
Rice and Peas
Chocolate Rum Balls
It’s been pretty crazy around here, so I have yet to make the dishes, but I still wanted to show this great box. We’re planning on putting an evening aside this week to make these delicious recipes. We love Jamaican food, so this is right up our alley. I love me some Jerk Chicken! I am so looking forward to trying these recipes!
UPDATE: Tonight I made the Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas and Chocolate Rum Balls. If you're looking for a quick meal, this isn't it. This took quite a bit of time to prepare, but in the end was worth it! Having all the ingredients pre-measured made things go smoothly in the preparation. I marinated the chicken last night (a must) and soaked the beans. Today I prepared the Chocolate Rum Balls while the chicken and rice cooked. They were easy to make, but they weren't all that.
The chicken turned out great! It was well-flavoured, crispy outer layer and moist throughout. I was very happy with it! The rice had the right flavour and was delish!
I really like the idea of ChefButler! I think ChefButler would also be fun to do for a small dinner party. Why not get a few friends together and make the meals together. You could also gift this box - the holiday season is upon us! Any foodie would love ChefButler I’m sure. Unfortunately, there are no vegetarian or vegan boxes at this time, but they are working on developing this, so check back soon.
