Wantable Makeup Box Review – November 2013

Wantable Makeup Box Review – November 2013

Not long ago I happened to catch a tweet from Wantable offering promo boxes to bloggers. I contacted them and they kindly sent me a box to review. I had the option to pick whatever box I wanted and went with the Makeup Box. I subscribed to the Makeup Box once before and it was good, but I found some of the items didn’t suit me, so I decided to give it a try again. Well I’m happy to say I am extremely pleased with my box this time!

Here’s a brief rundown of Wantable if you’re not familiar with them. Wantable offers three different types of subscription boxes. There is the Makeup, Accessories and Intimates Box. To find out more about each box click HERE or you can check out my reviews for Wantable HERE. There is also a Limited Edition Holiday Box for sale which has three various boxes to choose from. I love that Wantable offers these special edition boxes. They also did one for Halloween.

Wantable Makeup Box Review – November 2013

Wantable stands out from most subscription boxes for a few reasons. You get quality products customized to match your preferences, a great value, and exceptional customer service! I’ve subscribed to all of their boxes and they are all great!

Cost: $36 / month or $40 one-time purchase

Here’s what was in the Makeup Box:

Michael Marcus Plump Lip Plumper
$20

Michael Marcus Plump Lip Plumper

This must-have product is enriched with natural emollients to plump lips by increasing shine, hydration and volume. After 15 days of regular use, you’ll see more hydrated, fuller and more voluptuous lips.

Now I never get my hopes up with these lip plumping products, so I don’t anticipate getting miraculous results by any means. If I notice a difference, then great! But in the meantime I’ll just use it to keep my lips moisturized. I love the scent of the Wintergreen, Spearmint and Peppermint that's in it, which is what increases circulation and adds a warmth and flush to lips.

Darla Makeup Peepers Eyeshadow (Tiny Tooter)
$18

Darla Makeup Peepers Eyeshadow (Tiny Tooter)

Really cute packaging, but what colour will it be? Phew, a pretty purple, sprinkled with the perfect amount of golden sparkle. I can deal with this.

Cailyn Cosmetics Dramatic Mascara (Blue)
$15

Cailyn Cosmetics Dramatic Mascara (Blue)

I’ve use a few products from Cailyn and like this brand, so I am happy to get a mascara by them. I assumed it was black, but it’s blue! I was like I don’t know about this, but you know what? I’ve been wearing this everyday! The blue is subtle and isn’t that obvious. This mascara adds just enough volume, but it isn’t going to replace any of the mascaras I already use. It’s just a fun mascara to throw into the mix.

LIP HIT Long Wear Lip Veneer (Frenzy)
$20

LIP HIT Long Wear Lip Veneer (Frenzy)

Frenzy is a deep, almost blood red liquid lipstick with berry undertones. Designed to slide on easy like a lip gloss, but provides opaque coverage like a lipstick and it’s not sticky. I love everything about this! Just goes to show how Wantable got my preferences right - I love lip products and in this colour.

Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler

Skiin Instant Skin Tightener & Line Filler

I am very interested in this product! Even though it’s a tiny sample, I hope I notice a difference in my skin. I’m always interested in trying products that give skin a younger appearance. I take pretty good care of my skin, so I don’t have any major issues, but I don’t care what anyone says - aging sucks!

I have to say, Wantable did great with this box! I’m happy with ALL of the products I received and I’ll use all of them. I really appreciate Wantable giving bloggers the opportunity to review their subscription box. I hope they do it again soon *wink*. Seriously though, Wantable is always one of the subscription boxes I recommend without hesitation. Right now I’m subscribed to the Intimates Box and it hasn't disappointed, so I’m a happy customer.

Have you subscribed to Wantable? What do you think of this subscription box?
