Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

The Happy Hour Box features premium snacks and a crafty cocktail mixer!

Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

The box includes a cocktail recipe to make a Moscow Mule and variations.

Ginger Ale Mixer
$10

This mixer is spicier than a ginger ale but less sweet than a ginger beer. It's carefully crafted in small batches with all natural ingredients and offers a fruity and spicy taste. It's ideal for preparing the perfect Moscow Mule, it can also spice up a blond beer, or simply be added to hot water for a perfect Grog. This ¾ oz bottle makes up to 5 cocktails.

Stainless Steel Jigger
$5

This stainless steel jigger will make measuring drinks easier with accurate 3/4 and 1 1/4 oz measurements.

Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

Gingerbread Bites
$10

These are bite-sized rounds of white chocolate and gingerbread sweets! They taste sweet and have a bit of spice.

Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

Fuji Snack
$4

A spiced blend of soybeans, green peas, peanuts, sesame seeds, and savory crackers. Flavours of lime, wasabi, chili, and garlic are met with crunchy and crisp textures. I wasn't a fan of this at all.

Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

Canadian Maple Cashews
$7

These are whole cashews roasted with sweet real maple syrup. They're a little too sweet for my liking.

Spices & Co. Subscription Box Review – June 2017

This is the first Spices & Co. box and I think they did a good job, however, the total value is quite low at $36. The box costs $40 so that's disappointing. I like the Happy Hour theme but I expected more cocktail related items and not as many snacks, not that it's a bad thing. Being that this is their first box, I will try not to be too critical, but I hope going forward they increase the box value. At least shipping is included in the price, so a good effort for their first month.
