The flip side of each postcard has facts about space and is written by a PBS Kids scriptwriter and designed with stellar images, the sturdy postcards are colourful, conversational, and collectible.
Black Hole
The Black Hole is a unique spot deep in space where the gravity pull is so strong that even light can not get out. Black holes come in all shapes and sizes. Some scientists think the smallest black holes are no bigger than one atom. The biggest black hole, known as "supermassive" have masses that are more than 1 million suns together.
Titan
Titan is the largest moon of Saturn. There's no magnetic field here like on Jupiter, and Titan's mass is composed of water in the form of ice and rocky material. The climate isn't all frigid. Other areas there are covered with sand dunes made of hydrocarbon similar to the Namibian desert in Africa.
Pluto
When Pluto is closest to the sun the frozen nitrogen on the surface turns to gas, but when it is farthest away from the sun the nitrogen freezes making temperatures range from -378 to -396 degrees Fahrenheit.
Jupiter
This giant gas planet is a lot like the sun because it is made up of mostly hydrogen gas and helium gas. Most of the clouds ther are shades of brown, red, and yellow. They are also really thick which makes the planet look like it's wearing stripes.
SpaceMail Pal is a fun and somewhat educational subscription for kids who are into astronomy and like getting their own personalized mail. However, it doesn't seem like a very good value to me for a postcard with a few facts on. My son did enjoy the postcards, so that is something.
