Paws & Play is a Canadian owned and operated pet subscription box that delivers a collection of new and exciting discoveries for your pet. They are the only pet subscription service to offer one time purchases such as the Tail Wagging Gift Box and other special edition boxes. They also now offer a single item shop section with only premium and lifestyle items for both pets and humans. Paws Points are also a key point to their business. Earn Paws Points with every purchase and task you complete. You earn points by referrals (1000 points), setting up accounts (50 points) and purchases (3 points/dollar spent). What can you get with your points? You get discounts on future boxes, so 900 points redeemed would get you a $25 discount. Customers can add an extra toy for $9.95 to any of the boxes.
There are several types of boxes to choose from. There is no discount for long monthly commitments, however there is an option to change the frequency that you receive a box.

Chuckit! Glow Ball
$6.95
A different take on a classic. This version is enhanced with glow in the dark rubber so you and your pet can find the ball in the dark. My question is who is playing fetch in the middle of the night? Regardless, this is a reliable product of exceptional quality. I have several of these balls from Chuckit!. Out of all the balls I purchase for Stella, the Chuckit! last the longest. One other thing it is hollow so you can fill it with treats.

Nothing Added Atlantic Pollock
$16.95
100% Canadian, healthy, natural dog treats - no grains, no fillers, no additives, no preservatives. Just what we have come to expect when picking up a little something for our furry friends. The pollock treat is no exception, It is advertised as Canadian fish. From the Atlantic waters off of Nova Scotia, these treats are awesome - chewy snacks with a great smell to entice your dog - great for training rewards! The packaging says they are fin-tastic! Really? Haha.

DIGZ PB Smear Cookie
$4.95
These treats are made by Paws & Play. An original secret recipe by Artisan Dog Cookies, hand-made with care in small batches using only the most exclusive and premium whole food ingredients. Ingredients listed are as follows: Whole wheat flour, applesauce, raw honey, coconut oil, olive oil and sodium bicarbonate. There is an expiry date on the package so it does not have a long shelf life. Proof that there are no preservatives.
Etta Says! Bonus Samples
$1
I’ve seen other offerings from Etta Says and they provide a really decent product. This becomes evident when Stella gets excited when I pull them out. She is quite discerning you know! One sample is the Duck Jerky and the other the Duck Meat Treat. Both are 100% all natural with no additives, fillers colouring or preservatives.

West Paw Hurley
$10.95
This is an orange chew shaped like a bone. It is BPA free as well as dishwasher safe. It is made of a durable solid rubber that will get your dogs chew on and double as a throw toy since it has some bounce in it. One other bonus I like is that it floats. For me that means it will make a trip to the cottage and I don’t need to worry about loosing it off the dock.

I know there is a lot of information to take in here. This is the only box I know of that allows a multi-pet option where you can have a cat and a dog. The ability to change how often you receive a box really appeals to me. I find a monthly box too much, but quarterly shipments would be a great option. As for quality, this is a good value box. Good quality treats and toys with name brands you will recognize. The value is well above the price of the box which is what I like to see. Once you include shipping everything pretty much evens out with a net gain of about $2. Prices are in CAN dollars so you don’t have to factor in the exchange rate Canada. I am so glad to see another dog box out of Canada. The American options end up being too pricy in the end and therefore not worth it in my opinion. This box delivers both quality and value for your dollar.
