The crate includes supplies to make your own cardboard gingerbread house! It's low on the messiness scale and is medium on the grownup involvement.

Part 1 involves building the gingerbread set. We put together the house, Christmas tree, and our gingerbread boy and girl.

We decided to do a snowy rooftop, then we added paper candies which is just pom-poms rolled up in tissue paper. We put candy canes and a wreath on the front of the house. Next, we decorated our gingerbread boy and girl with pom-poms, pieces of felt, and cut up pieces of ribbon. The Christmas tree has glued-on pom-poms. The base of the house has white, sparkly felt for snow and we did a small pathway of different-shaped felt pieces.

This box was a lot fun to do and the boys really enjoyed themselves! This was a great way to spend some time together and get us in the holiday spirit! Plus, since it's made of cardboard we can keep it and bring it out every year as an addition to our holiday decorations which I love! I highly recommend Kiwi Crate for any child and it makes a terrific gift for the holidays, especially with the 50% off discount!
