GlobeIn releases spoilers in advance so I knew what would be in this box, but it didn't make it any less exciting to see the box in person; I was really liking the theme this month!

GlobeIn Palm Leaf Basket (Mexico)

The GlobeIn Signature Handwoven Basket is made using the traditional “tenate” design. Handcrafted from discarded palm leaves by indigenous Oaxacan artisans and colored using natural, water-borne paints, each basket can take up to six hours to weave. These decorative and whimsical baskets make beautiful home storage options, lending a pop of colour and handcrafted warmth to children’s bedrooms, bathroom storage, kitchen countertops or as gift packaging for loved ones.
Marquet Free Weave Fair Trade Scarf (Thailand)

This scarf is made by the Ton Fai or "Cotton Tree" artisan group, woven on a traditional hand-built loom using 100% locally-grown cotton. Many rural Thai are forced to leave their families and seek work in the city to earn a secondary income, the weavers work on their craft between harvesting and planting season, integrating it into their farming lifestyle. Subscribers received the scarf in various colours.
Le Souk Ceramique Mug (Tunisia)

This beautiful mug comes from Nabeul, a city on the Mediterranean coast of northeastern Tunisia and the center of Tunisian pottery. The mug’s skillfully painted lines evoke the air of peace, prosperity, and teamwork embodied by modern Tunisians. This mug is much bigger in size than mass-produced pieces and lovingly covered by intricate Tunisian designs, it has potential to become much more than your go-to hot drink vessel! You can display it as your kitchen’s art statement or add a small flower and use it as a mini vase. Subscribers also received one of the many varieties of Tunisian mugs.
Divine Chocolate Cocoa Powder (Ghana)

Divine Chocolate is co-owned by Kuapa Kokoo, a cocoa-growing cooperative in Ghana whose 85,000 farmer members get a share in the profits, a say in the company, and a voice in the global marketplace. Literally “good cocoa growers,” Kuala Kookoo seeks to empower farmers in their efforts to gain a dignified livelihood, develop environmentally-friendly cultivation of cocoa, and increase women’s participation. Two recipes for the cocoa powder were included in the info booklet.
The October "Cozy" GlobeIn Artisan Box has a total value of $54. This is one of my favourite GlobeIn boxes to date and it's a great box for fall! I absolutely love the craftsmanship of the scarf and mug and will put both to good use!
