Nourishing Hydration Balm No. 624
When I first took a look at this product, I thought, “Oh nice, a body balm!”, but it’s a lot more than that! This product does so much! It’s a cleanser, a treatment, an overnight mask, a quick pick-me-up, a body balm, and can be used as a hair mask!
A lot of From The Lab’s products (including this one) use Raspberry Stem Cell Extracts which keeps skin hydrated by reinforcing the skin’s protective barrier and stimulating the production of hyaluronic acid. Its enhanced moisturizing properties improve skin’s firmness, texture, and elasticity. The Hydration Balm also has Murumuru Butter, Apricot Oil, Vitamin E, and Organic Evening Primrose Seed Oil.
I found this works extremely well for dry areas on the body, such as elbows and feet. I've also used it as a cleanser and liked that it left my skin smooth and didn't dry it out. Tonight I think I’ll try it as a hair mask.
Eyelift Primer No. 328
This is a special bonus in this month’s box. It nourishes the delicate skin of your eyelid while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Its weightless, pure velvet cream texture diffuses light to provide an optical smoothing effect, while its innovative, extremely long-wearing formula prevents creasing and keeps your eye shadow vibrant for up to 12 hours. The sheer beige colour provides a neutralizing base for eye shadow with transfer-resistant properties to keep your makeup in place.
This primer has a lot of shimmer! You can use it alone or with eye makeup and it’s supposed to be great for all skin tones. I didn’t really care for the look of it when applied. The shimmer was just too much and although they say it’s great for all skin tones, I question if it really would be suitable for someone with a darker complexion. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this product to be for me, but it did help to diffuse light.
The one thing that I absolutely love about From The Lab is they use a conscientious selection of plant-based and synthetic ingredients that are suitable for all skin types. They do not test on animals or include any substance of animal origin in our products. They only use premium ingredients, and formulas are free of parabens, benzene, formaldehyde-releasing ingredients, irritants, nanoparticles, nitrosating ingredients, PABA, phthalates, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate, toluene, and mineral oils and other comedogenic actives that clog pores.
