You have no idea how excited I am for this box! There are no baked goods subscription boxes that ship to Canada, but now we finally have our own. Bakers Krate is out of Winnipeg, Manitoba and ships throughout Canada.
This box looked great from the start! Look, they even include a little fork so you can sample the goodies right away!
The info card looks great too! It gives you a description on each product and which bakery it's from. There's also a separate sheet with all the ingredients listed.
Time to dig in!
Cake-ology Raspberry & Saskatoon Imperial Cookies
Two shortbread sugar cookies sandwiched with raspberry jam and iced with royal icing (pink one). The purple one has Saskatoon jam and iced with royal icing. Both were very good. A little crumbly when eaten, but who cares about the mess when it tastes so good?!
Goodies Bake Shop Chocolate Brownie Square
I was so happy to see a brownie in the box! This one wasn't as decadent as I would've liked, but still very, very good!
Goodies Bake Shop Blueberry Crumble
A juicy blueberry layer covered with a soft, crumbly topping. They recommend warming it up in the microwave for 20 seconds, and it will be like enjoying a fresh-baked blueberry pie right out of the oven.
Cake-ology Vanilla & Red Velvet Cakette
Yum, little balls of cake goodness! The white one is a soft vanilla cake on the inside, coated with white chocolate. The one with red stripes is red velvet cake also covered with white chocolate. These were my two favourite treats in the box!
Bakers Krate totally satisfied my sweet tooth! I enjoy my healthy snack boxes, but sometimes I just want to indulge and now I can do that with Bakers Krate! The whole box presentation was just great and I love the little fork that was included! I appreciate those little touches. I like the portion sizes and everything tasted very fresh and delicious! I didn't do a total box value, but it comes to about $3.33 per item. This isn't a value box, but if you love baked goods and want to discover new ones and support small businesses, then this is a good box to try! BTW, all the products in Bakers Krate may contain nuts, wheat, soy, dairy and a lot of other things that some may be allergic to, so if you have any allergies, it's best to not to risk it!
