Yarn Crush is a new yarn subscription box. Each month you’ll receive at least one or two full-sized skeins of yummy yarn, along with a beautiful knitting pattern they design specifically to use that yarn. The pattern comes printed in full-colour on durable glossy cardstock at a perfect size to stash in your knitting bag. They also include fun or useful extras, such as limited-edition project bags or tool pouches.
Cost: $32.99/monthly or $34.99/bi-monthly (USD)
Shipping: $5 to US, $8.50 to Canada & $11 Internationally.
This is the inaugural Yarn Crush box and they're Canadian! The packaging looks fun!
They include an info card.
Sweet Georgia Yarns Merino Silk Lace (Berry Tart)
$39
This is a soft and drapey lace weight yarn made of 50% fine merino wool and 50% cultivated silk, a blend that's just perfect for summer knitting.
Knitting Pattern
$5.99
The pattern is for Oroya, an airy lace shawl, dappled with tiny seed beads along the bottom edge.
Seed Beads & Gauge Wire
$1.99
To complete your shawl, they've included 30 g of seed beads and enough gauge wire to make a few threaders to help you add the beads to your stitches.
Digital Row Counter
$5.99
You wear this digital row counter around your finger as you knit. It includes an LED back-light so you can count your rows even in dim lighting, and it counts up to 5 digits.
The total of this Yarn Crush is $52.97. I don't knit, but this box kind of makes me wish I did! I wasn't sure what to expect from their first box, but to me it looks like this is for the more experienced knitter. You will need to already have knitting needles, but if you're looking for new yarns and patterns, Yarn Crush could be for you.
