Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an amazing and special holidays! I kind of wish it wasn’t all over. I love the weeks leading up to Christmas and feel a little sad when it’s all said and done, but it's all good and it's time to shift gears, so let's start 2014 with something a little different and perhaps a bit controversial.
How many of you are familiar with Asian beauty products or more specifically Korean beauty products? Well, I know a little about them, but not much really. I’ve always been interested to learn more about them and try them. WISHTrend is a Korean website that sells Korean beauty products. They’ve been on my radar, but until recently didn’t know much about it. They also sell Wish Boxes. Kind of like subscription boxes without the subscription. You can buy a Wish Box and enjoy a box full of a variety of Korean beauty products. With each Wish Box you will know what will be inside, so you'll know if it's something for you or not. I decided to finally buy one and also purchase some of their other products, but I’m only reviewing the WISH Box today.
So, before I get started I do want to take a moment to say that I haven’t had a chance to use any products yet, but they intrigue me. Also keep in mind that there are some major differences between Korean and Western beauty standards. For one, they tend to have a lot of products focused on skin whitening. Over here we might consider a product like that to be almost offensive, but if you look at the flip side, North Americans are obsessed with darkening their skin, whether it be suntanning or using self-tanning lotions. Why do we choose to do either one? Everyone has their own reasons and every culture has their own beauty standards. So, while reading about the products, try to keep an open mind.
Cost: $14.99 + shipping. Ships worldwide.
Wish Box X Cosmic Bloom:

Look at this box - very cool! I’m going to reuse for something special.
GEHWOL Med Lipidro Foot Cream
Treats, reduces and helps protect against hard skin. Apparently great for callused and very dry feet, but can be used on other parts of the body.

LAVIDA BB Cream Pact SPF 50
A BB Cream that protects your skin from both UVA and UVB, whitening with total anti-aging function.

CB COSMETIC CB Cream Natural
This is a straight up whitening cream. I certainly don’t want to whiten my skin, but I’m curious to see what it does, so I might just try it to see. I’m as pale as they come, so I actually don’t think I could get any whiter even if I tried lol. However, products like this can be used to correct an uneven skin complexion.

MAX CLINIC Vitamin Massage Oil Foam
A cleansing oil that turns into foam. It moisturizes and cleanses skin simultaneously. Natural plant oils nourish your skin while cleansing. Terminates blackheads and dirt particles allowing you to feel fresh every time when washing your face. There were tons of sample in this box. I love trying new facial cleansers, so this is great! Also, great if you’re out and about you can keep one in your bag. I don't know why I didn't take the packets out of the box to show in the photo, but there's a lot.

PANIER DES SENS Liquid Marselille Soap
Another facial cleansing soap from an eco-friendly brand. Contains more than 95% of high quality natural ingredients and essential oils. Include 3 different samples in Hydrating Rose, Firming Sea Fennel and Energizing Verbena.

ANGEL HEART Lion Heart Perfume
Sea breeze notes of marine, bergamot and cardamom. Also notes of apricot, sandals, musk and amber. I find it to be a very fresh scent and not overbearing.

EDGE FIT Heart Filler Cream
Another controversial product. I won’t even tell you what this is supposed to do, but I like it for different reasons. It’s a filler that has Hyaluronic acid to give skin volume and increase skin elasticity.

ELISHACOY Always Nuddy CC Cream SPF 30
This is a 3 in 1 functional cream that helps moisturizing, whitening, sebum & blemish care and UV Protection.

ISFREN RX Magic Eye Solution Wise Patch
I’m eager to try this! We have nothing on the market here that even remotely decreases dark circles, a lot of them claim they do, but let’s get real they don’t do anything. This contains Haloxyl which is supposed to reduce dark circles and bags under the eyes. Crossing my fingers…

I absolutely thought this was a great deal at only $14.99. The Wish Box has plenty of new and interesting products to try. I was able to get free shipping with the promotion that had, but you had to make a purchase of at least $59, hence the other products I bought which were facial cleansers and other skin creams. The code has now expired, but I'm sure another one will be available soon. Most of the products they sell are affordable and I just really wanted to be exposed to completely different beauty products. Hopefully I notice an improvement in my skin over time with these products and if not, I’m just glad I know what else is out there other than the beauty products we’re used to in North America.
Have you bought any of WISHTrend’s Wish Boxes? What do you think of this box?
