Bix Bakery’s Lemon Pizzelle Cookies (3)

Pizzelle are little works of art: beautiful, crisp and flavourful, they make a great dessert, snack or hostess gift. Bix Bakery is Canada’s only producer of handmade, artisanal pizzelle that are gluten-, soy-, dairy- and nut-free. Serve them with coffee, or as an elegant dessert with fruit and cheese. Or make yourself an awesome ice cream sandwich!

A nice blend of 13 varieties of beans that makes this soup not only satisfying and flavourful, but colourful as well. Crockpot friendly and the finished soup freezes well.

Urge Chocolates’ Oranji Dark Chocolate Bar
60 g

A beautiful compliment to white wine but amazing on its own. The combination of dark chocolate, orange and goji berries is a perfect antioxidant trifecta.

The Tasting Box by Foodie Pages Review – February 2014

Overall I thought this was another good box. Foodie Pages has some very talented foodmakers that they work with. I especially love the “sweet” foodmakers. The Salted Butter Caramels and Urge Chocolate are sooo good. You have to try it! I’ve never had the Pizzelle cookies before and liked them as well. I thought I would like the Roasted Garlic Hot Pepper Jelly more, but maybe if I try it in a recipe I’ll like the flavour more. I am looking forward to making some yummy soup with the Soup Mix.
