The packaging is nice and bright. Upon opening I am greeted with a clever quote, “Dogs laugh with their tails!”.

One Fur All Candles
$3.49
This is a small tea light sized candle that is to help combat the odour your smelly pets. I got the pina colada scent. Personally, I’m not much for the candle and I prefer the smell of my dog. Call me crazy!

Chow Chow Mein
$8.99
This treat is packaged in a Chinese food take out box. It’s super cute. All natural ingredients including ginger. I tried these on Stella and she loved them. They are a good size for training and are easy to break into smaller pieces.

Elvis Banana Sandwich Plush Toy
$14.99
This item is straight from the Elvis Dog Toy Collection. It’s an officially licensed Elvis product. It's a plush sandwich which can be divided into two sides, like slices of bread. The pieces are held together with velcro. One side makes a crinkly sound like a plastic bag and the other side has a squeaker. Stella really liked this particular toy. She would start shaking it and one side of the sandwich would fly off and this would cause her to drop her side and chase the other side. It was hilarious. I have never seen a toy like this and in my opinion it’s really neat. I have a feeling it will last a while. Usually they rip because Stella shakes them so hard. This one will survive that. I don’t think it would survive some vicious teeth.

Smartphone Plush Toy
$8.99
This toy is very cute as well. Shaped like an iPhone with a squeaker. Stella wanted nothing to do with it but this could be because I started with the banana sandwich and she didn’t feel like playing anymore. She is a dog after all. This one will also last but I don’t think it will last in the mouth of a chewer.

Yaky Charms
$2.99
This is the most unusual treat I have ever seen. It comes in a microwave popcorn style package. You need to pop it like you would popcorn for 1 min in a microwave. The ingredients are cow milk, yak milk, salt and lime juice. So, I popped it for one minute. The bag inflated but I didn’t hear any popping. I took the bag out, opened it and removed what looked like pieces of styrofoam. Just like those packing peanuts you use for shipping a fragile item. I was intrigued, I needed to try these. I popped one in my mouth. They were crunchy and light with very little flavour or smell. I handed one to Stella and she sniffed it and turned her head. I tried again and she took it in her mouth and spit it out and looked up at me with this expression that said, “I am not eating packing peanuts.”. She finally figured that these were safe to eat and she had no problem eating more afterwards. Stella said “It just took some getting used to Daddy!”.

Puppy Cake Ice Cream
$7.99
Ok, here is another very strange treat. It is powdered whole milk that you add water to, freeze and serve like ice cream. I have still not had the opportunity to try this with Stella but I am pretty sure as the days get warmer and she spends more and more time outside, she will enjoy this very unique treat. I’ll probably try this one too.

pawTreats
Freeze-dried snacks that are grain-free, all-natural, healthy, real-food treats made with simple ingredients based on your dog’s optimal diet. They are a blend of quality meat, fruits and vegetables that dogs crave. The treats do not contain corn, wheat, soy, artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. They are also made in the USA. This was a sample and it comes with a product card inviting you to check out the website and have the company build a diet plan for your dog. To me that’s a little extreme but if there are doggie psychologists I am sure we can have a doggie nutritionist too. Stella really loved these. I am disappointed that it was only a sample with two little treats. They were easy to break up and we played the “nosey dog game”. They had a good scent because Stella had no problem finding them wherever I hid them.

Once again, my overall impression of the box is excellent. The value of the products included in this box is better than the subscription price but I found if you shop around you can get the value closer. This box had lots of things my dog loved. The treats were unique and the toys were well thought out. This month’s box was themed "Movie Night" and it was appropriate. Popped yak treats and ice cream for a snack and a plush banana sandwich to play with during the boring parts of the film. What more could you ask for?! Good work Surprise My Pet. I would like to see that FAQ page on your website working again along with more information up front about shipping.
