Sharing Small Socks Review – March 2015

Sharing Small Socks is a children’s sock subscription service designed to take an everyday item and turn it into a source of fun, community, and a lesson on the importance of empathy. Every month, subscribers receive 2 new pairs of Sharing Small Socks in the mail, and for every pair sent to a subscriber, they donate a pair to a child in need.

At the core, Sharing Small is about more than just socks; it’s an ideal and a movement. We see an opportunity to create something inclusive for children who might otherwise feel excluded because their families can not afford the latest trends, while at the same time completing the circle and inspiring more privileged kids to be excited about charity and giving.

Cost: $10/Month - Shipping included.

The socks come in a bubble envelope and include a sticker and postcard. The postcard explains the design of that month's socks. These were designed to remind children to be adventurous and encourage them to try new things.

Socks are all made for maximum comfort, and designed to keep children’s feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer: 168 needle count (the highest available for children’s socks), handlinked seams, 75% combed cotton, 23% spandex and 2% elastic. They're designed to fit children ages 2-12. They are 3 sizes: Small (ages 2-4), Medium (ages 5-8), Large (ages 9-12 and adults with small feet).

Sharing Small Socks is a reasonably priced sock subscription. I like the design on the socks and even though my boys may be a little too young to understand the full concept of this subscription they like the socks. I like it's purpose and think it's a fun way to inspire your child to use their imagination and set goals for themselves, as well as teaching them that giving is important.
