Scent Trunk is a fragrance sample subscription box. Each month you’ll receive 3 deluxe samples that contain 1.5 to 3 ml of fragrance. The exact amount depends on the brand and they take that into account for each package to ensure you have enough for the month. Fill out the tailoring quiz and Scent Trunk will do the rest. The reason for the change is more high quality fragrances from around the world that you can't find in department stores, size of the fragrance vials are bigger, and change to atomizers or sprayer vials instead of dabbers.
I think the packaging is great! The women's box is white with fragrances coming in a black pouch with info cards on each scent, and they included paper strips to sample the perfumes.
On the back of the info cards they give a description of the scent, fragrance notes, time of day, longevity, and sillage.
Amouage Ciel Woman
This fragrance bursts alive with the freshness of rich floral scents. Like a rain shower on a hot summer's day it cools and invigorates. Using the intensity of silver frankincense and sensual woods it leaves an inner sense of serenity and softness, reflecting the warmth of the sun.
This one has a fairly strong floral scent. It's nice and is something I'd wear during the day.
Olympic Orchids Ballets Rouges
Elegant and playful, full-bodied like the scent of a dozen deliciously fragrant, musky roses, Ballets Rouges is a grand, extravagant, update to the vintage rose perfume.
I didn't like this scent too much. I found the musky scent to be a little too strong and unappealing for me.
Note Fragrances Pink Peony
The inspiration for this fragrance was to recreate the beauty of one of my most favorite flowers. Pink peonies gathered in a simple glass vase are one of the purest pleasures I seek in the summer. The flowers are full and well,rounded and the aroma is beautiful and delicate. Filling my home with bouquets of these gorgeous blossoms brings moments of happiness and delight that I treasure. This fragrance blends beautifully romantic floral heart notes with sparkling citrus top notes as it dries down with sheer musks and white woods.
Easily my favourite of the three. This scent is sweet and floral, but the floral isn't overwhelming. I can also detect other notes that all blend together to make a pleasing scent.
I liked two of the fragrances I received, but only one I would regularly wear. I'm not sure if I need to go back to adjust my scent profile, because I seemed to receive more floral fragrances and I prefer citrus scents. The scent profile is detailed, so maybe I just didn't fill it out correctly. Either way, if you're into trying out new and interesting perfumes that you can't easily get at any department store, then Scent Trunk might be for you.
