I was really excited to review this box. Next to a subscription box that is geared towards hockey goalies, this box is the next best thing. In this month’s box there was an assortment of goodies aimed at runners and here is the rundown. What is really cool is that they seem to be very approachable with regards to customer satisfaction. If you are unhappy with RUNLOVEBOX or have an issue that you think warrants a refund, they encourage you to email and explain what happened. Also, you can sign up for one box if you like. No long term commitments. It makes giving this as a Christmas gift a really cool option for your favourite running coach.
PRO Compression Socks Coupon
There is a coupon for 40% off PRO Compression Socks. They have a wide range of styles that look pretty cool. As for durability, comfort and quality, I have no idea.
Mayron's Goods Lip Stuff (Vanilla)
Lip Stuff is a natural and organic aromatherapeutic infusion of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Natural Vanilla, Chamomile, Sunflower Oil and Vitamin E. Its designed to hydrate and soothe chapped or dry lips. A subtle, sweet taste accentuates the goodness. It’s paraben free and 99.7% natural. I could not figure out what the 0.3% unnatural stuff was. It’s made in the USA, formulated in the family Lab. It’s not tested on animals but the website wittingly admits that it’s tested on actors. I love it. I got a chance to use some of this on a run. The weather has turned cold here in Canada so this product is timely. It works well, it has a heavy consistency and provides good protection. One more thing about Mayron’s, it carries a range of interesting products. Look up Junk Stuff, this could be useful for some of us male runners.
I really loved this little addition to my subscription box. I guess you could finally replace that old boot in your monopoly game to better reflect your personality.
3 tablets of naturally occuring plant sterols. Excellent for promoting healthy cholesterol. These Phytosterols (plant sterols) are in position to affect dietary cholesterol absorption minutes after taking the tablets. In addition, the FDA has approved a health claim for the relationship between diets that include plant sterol/stanol esters and a lower risk of CHD. These plant sterols are isolated from soybean. EP Phytosterols may help support healthy prostate function.
Replace Sustained Release Electrolyte
I have yet to try these but I am interested in how they will perform. They are in tablet form and are intended to release electrolytes over 4 to 6 hours as your body needs them. The gradual release of electrolytes provides your body the replacement as it is needed due to the loss from prolonged perspiration, and reduces the likelihood of high localized concentrations and gastric distress.
Lakanto Sweetener w/ Monk Fruit
This is a zero calorie, natural sweetener that has zero glycemic index meaning it does not affect your blood sugar levels. It can substitute in baking at a ratio or 1:1. Its considered vegan, kosher and does not contain GMO’s. I tried it raw and it kinda tastes like candy. In my coffee it tasted fine.
Kashi Cranberry & Lemon Chewy Granola Bar
I like the Kashi products. There was a time that I used to eat the breakfast cereal almost every morning. I had never had the bars before. This one tasted great and was a good snack. Not something I would take on a run as it really didn’t have the calories I would be looking for if I was on a run that I needed to carry food.
D’s Naturals No Cow Bar - Blueberry Cobbler
This is a dairy free, soy free, gluten-free and vegan product. 21 g of protein, 3 g net carbs and 2 g sugar. I had one of these bars before a hockey game. It helped me stay satiated till after the game but it really did not taste good to me.
This is a residue free laundry detergent designed to eliminate odours from technical fabrics like Dri-fit materials. It washes away odour causing bacteria. It dislodges and removes body oils, dirt and contaminants. By cleaning your sports clothes properly, you extend their life. They retain their moisture wicking ability. Compression wear returns to its maximum compression state. I washed my hockey stuff in it. Everything, even my socks came out way cleaner than ever before. Mind you, I have never used anything like this, I usually just use regular detergent. I was glad to have a chance to try this type of detergent.
I hold a very high opinion of this box. There is good value for your money here. The lip balm is $5.50 alone and you get about $2.50 worth of laundry detergent to try. There is a wide variety of products here from laundry detergent to granola bars. I was very pleased to see a box dedicated to the runners of the world. We are not all Boston Marathon qualifiers but we all love trying the next best thing that will help us get our personal best or just give us an excuse to get out and run.
