March's Persian Inspired Spice Blends:

RawSpiceBar Review – March 2015

Advieh Khoresh

A staple of Iranian kitchens, this spice blend mirrors the balancing, delicate flavors of Persian cuisine. Warming, not too sweet and not too spicy, this classic blend is created specifically for meat or bean khoresh (stews). Stir through rice or couscous or blend with oil or yogurt to create a rub for kabobs and grilled or roasted vegetables.

Saffron Threads

Famous for its vibrantly golden hue & most classically used in rice dishes, this spice is the most expensive in the world and also among the most flavorful and prized. We've included these delicate threads in tact, for grinding by hand. Add this freshly ground saffron to risottos, pilafs or vegetable dishes for a beautiful color & unforgettable flavor.

Mast-O-Khiar Rose & Herbs

Earthy, dried herbs are a central part of Persian cooking and are used in nearly every meal. We've included a blend of dill, mint, organic rose petals & peppercorns to create a traditional Persian yogurt dish. Serve alongside a hearty stew or main dish and add nuts or dried fruits, such as cranberries or walnuts, to make this mast-o-khiar even more delicious.

RawSpiceBar Review – March 2015

RawSpiceBar is great for anyone who likes trying new cuisines. They deliver some of the most flavorful, freshly ground spice blends from around the world and offer you recipes to use your new spices. I'm looking forward to trying the Baghali Polow With Saffron & Dill. Blends contain only the spices listed on each blend with no added fillers such as MSG, salt, rice, sugar or flour. Spice blends are also free of contaminants such as dust and pests that can occur in pre-ground spices.
