Since I am still waiting for multiple subscription boxes to come in, due to the long weekend, I thought I'd share what I did with my youngest son's bedroom.
Well it only took 17 months, but I finally have curtains up in the baby's room! I'm kind of embarrassed to be admitting it, but it's true. It's not like I just didn't bother, the problem was I couldn't find any I liked. You're thinking "how hard could it be to find curtains?". Well it was ok! I searched on and off looking for the perfect ones, but had no luck. They were either too juvenile with cartoon characters or just plain boring. There always seems to be a lot more selection for girls rooms than boys. Anyway about a month or so ago I stumbled upon the website The Land of Nod and fell in love with their stuff. I don't know why I never came across them before when I was looking for children's decor. So without thinking I would find anything I would like, I found the perfect pair of curtains. They're grey with a yellow and white horizontal stripe detail.

I find them stylish, modern, and I love the colours. They'll be in his room for a long time to come. After seeing these colours, I decided that will be the colour scheme of his room. The curtains are just thick enough to block out the light and I really like the hidden back tabs at the top. I don't like the ones with holes and those metal rings and don't like visible hanging tabs, so these are great.
To go with his curtains I also purchased this patterned flag garland. They're the perfect accent since his wall decals were starting to fall off anyway. I only wish they were slightly larger.

To complete the room, I found these pictures online and decided to frame them and hang them on the wall.

I sing this song to both of my boys and think it is beyond cute!
So that's it! It feels great to finally have it done, I only wish I got it done sooner.
Sorry for not having any "after" pics to show, but the room isn't completely done, we still have a bit more to do.
