Monthly Skill Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription service to help you learn a new skill every month. Their goal is to help you learn new skills while keeping you entertained. Each month you’ll receive a box containing everything you need to learn a new skill. Materials, instructions, recommendations, etc.
Boxes are intended primarily for adults, but anyone over the age of 12 should be able to enjoy them. If you are interested with something similar for younger kids, just shoot them an email at MonthlySkillBox@gmail.com.
Cost: $23 / month – free shipping to US & Canada, $10 everywhere else.
The skill for April, appropriately, is Egg Decorating.
Monthly Skill Box came wrapped in floral brown paper. The supplies were inside this wooden box that you could decorate if you want and make it your own.
Projects: Spotty Eggs, Face Eggs, Napkin Decoration, and Egg Snowman.
Supplies: 2 plastic eggs (for practicing purposes), 2 napkins, 2 sticks, 2 packets of dye, super glue, marker, paint brush, 2 decorative flower stickers, and 2 sheets of circle stickers.
The projects are to be done using real eggs, but you can practice with plastic eggs provided. Instructions for the projects can be found online. I wish that they were just printed on the card instead. These projects are easy enough that you could do them with young children. I’m interested to try the Napkin Decoration project, it looks so pretty!
I’m very happy to see that the price for Monthly Skill box has gone down significantly. It was $30/ month and quite honestly, I thought it might deter people from subscribing. $23 / month is a more reasonable price.
