Luxe Box is what started it all for me well over a year and a half ago when I was first introduced to beauty subscription boxes. Back then it was a monthly box, but soon after subscribing they changed to a quarterly box. I wasn’t happy about it, but have gotten used to waiting. I still wish it were monthly, because three months is sooo long to wait for a box. I get so anxious for it, as well as high expectations. The last Luxe Box was pretty good and it made me renew my subscription to the annual plan once again.
Luxe Box is a customized subscription box delivered every season (once every 3 months) filled with 7-8 trial size beauty and lifestyle products to help you stay trendy for the upcoming season!
Cost: Quarterly membership plan: $26 every 3 months, Semiannual membership plan: $50 every 6 months, Annual membership plan: $96 every 12 months
Here’s what was in the Fall Box:
Klorane Extra Gentle Dry Shampoo
$5.67 / 50 ml
A cult product created with unique expertise and exclusive technology, the Klorane Extra-Gentle Dry Shampoo contains oat milk with moisturizing, softening, anti-irritant and protective properties. It gently cleanses hair and may be used as often as necessary.
I’ve only used one dry shampoo before and disliked it a lot, so I have mixed feelings about the whole dry shampoo craze. I hope this proves to be effective.
The Balm Powder Blush (Swiss Dot)
$2.55 / 0.5 g
A tiny, but incredibly adorable sample of long-wearing, staining powder blush! It’s like a miniature magazine with the blush inside - so cute!
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss (Grapevine)
$5.99 / Full Size
3-in-1 formula provides a smooth finish, even color, and wear-resistant glossy shine. Long-lasting fail-proof nail looks are quick, easy, and even dry quickly!
Meh, not thrilled about getting this and the colour although pretty, is just not for me.
Be A Bombshell Eye Liner (Onyx)
$14 / Full Size
Ugh..I just got this in a Lip Factory Inc. box, but in Amethyst. I am not a big fan of the felt tip pen applicator, but it’s not bad to get a thin or thick line.
Barefoot Venus Mango Butter Bath Bliss
$4.99 / Full Size
The whole box smelled of this and it’s yummy! At first I thought this was body butter, but it’s like bath melts that dissolve under running water for a wonderful bath. When you're done your bath, you will have velvety-smooth skin. I think more than anything, I just love the packaging!
L’Occitane Amande Supple Skin Oil
$15.60 / 15 ml
This body oil helps to moisturize and firm, leaving on the skin a satin-finish and a mouthwatering scent of fresh almond. I’m happy to get this brand and my skin definitely needs extra moisture in the colder months. I’m just hoping it doesn’t leave a greasy film.
B. Kamins Diatomamus Earth Mask
$7 / 15 g
A soothing, calming, and cooling facial treatment created to absorb excess oil, hydrate, and exfoliate skin. This hydrating botanical mask is formulated with diatomaceous earth rich in natural minerals including magnesium, iron, calcium, and sodium to replenish and revitalize complexions.
I’m not much of a mask person, but I like the claims this brand makes, so I’ll hopefully put it to use soon.
A nice range of products this month and I will definitely use the majority of them. I was introduced to a couple of new brands, but (I wish there wasn't a "but") I'm not crazy over my Luxe Box this time. I feel a little bad for saying so, but this isn't an inexpensive box and I deserve to be "wowed"! This fell somewhere in between mild disappointment and "oh this is kind of a cool box" if that makes any sense? I do feel a loyalty to Luxe Box since it was my first subscription box, the packaging is beautiful and that it's a Canadian company. It looks like we won't have to wait as long for the Winter Box since I saw in my account that the shipping date for the Winter Box is mid-December, so that's good - I can't wait!
Were you happy with the Fall Luxe Box? What do you think of this subscription box?
