Friday the 13th Pennant

This movie put slasher films on the map. It was released in 1978 just after the success of Halloween starring Jamie Curtis. This American franchise has produced 12 movies with the most recent being the 2009 remake. This is one of my favourite items in the box this month. This pennant is an official Camp Crystal Lake momento covered in some young coeds blood. Now where is my goalie mask?

Legion of Forgettable Supervillains Book

In over 80 years of comics, not every character is a winner. In fact, some of the villains are horrifyingly bad. Read all about them in the companion book, League of Regrettable Superheroes. This is actually a very nice book and a witty addition to the horror box.

It is a bit late now but I think the idea here was if you were a bit late getting your Halloween costume together, you could use this Walker mask. A great tribute to The Walking Dead. You just pop it out of the bottom of the box and voilà. It even comes with a strap to keep it on your head.
October's Loot Crate pin is Halloween. The pin unlocks a video game called Superfight. In it you are pitted in a hypothetical battle of wits. You argue ridiculous situations like which is the better weapon, a sausage lasso or a skunk on a stick. I guess it depends if Chuck Norris is wielding the weapon.
Friday the 13th, Freddy, Jason, and John Carpenter's classic Halloween, they were well represented. There was nothing from the Shining but you cannot have it all! That is just my personal opinion. There were certainly some original items like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre plushie. I conclude that Loot Crate has come up with a good selection of classic movies for this box. The value is maintained as in past months so don’t be afraid subscribe to Loot Crate and start collecting some scary geek box items.
