Kona Kase – May Review

Kona Kase - May Review

I received my second Kona Kase box this month, but only because I forgot to cancel my subscription. When I saw I was charged for this month, I said hold up I didn't sign up again, but realized it was automatically renewed. I signed up for it last month because I got a great discount for half off, so it was $7.50. I was charged their regular price $15 and tried to cancel before it was processed, but I was told it was too late. I wasn't too happy about it, but let it slide. I did enjoy the first box and was going to subscribe again for one more box, but when I was ready to. Whatever it was my fault, but I really wish subscription boxes could at least notify you of when the next month's payment is coming up, so I can chose to either continue or cancel. It's hard for me to keep track of all the boxes I subscribe to and their billing times and shipping times. I will have to be more on the ball with it and come up with system to keep it organized. I mean I do keep track of when I ordered, when it's suppose to ship, and when I receive tracking notices,* but not if I need to remember to unsubscribe if I don't plan on continuing a subscription. Sometimes they automatically renew and sometimes you need to physically renew it. Oh my life as a subscription box addict and all I have to deal with LOL!

Anyway back to this month's Kona Kase box. Kona Kase is a subscription box filled with healthy snacks. Here's what was inside:

Popcorners are the delicious new snack with the snap of a chip and the same wholesome goodness as popcorn. They're air popped with real corn and all natural ingredients. Your family can now snack smart. It's a great post workout snack after a big sweat!

These will definitely be yummy. My kind of snack. I might have to hide it before anyone eats it before me.

Wholesome nourishment and delicious indulgence, they are 70% organic and free from artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup and trans fat. Great for a pre workout snack. They're made for women but it take s areal man to eat one.

I like that it's high in protein, fiber iron, and calcium. This will be good to eat on a day where I know I haven't consume enough of those nutrients.

GU Electrolyte Brew

Kona Kase - May Review

GU Electrolyte Brew contains ample amounts of sodium and potassium to accelerate the hydration process. Add a boost of energy from an optimal balance of simple and complex carbohydrates, and you have the formula elite athletes are using to fuel extraordinary efforts.

I like to drink Gatorade occasionally , so this will be good to try. I need to stay hydrated more especially with the warmer weather coming.

GU Energy Gel

Kona Kase - May Review

GU Energy Gel provide athletes with a dose of 100 calories to deliver high-quality, easily digested and long-lasting energy for athletes in every sport and at all levels. Everything inside each packet of GU is engineered to do one simple thing: provide your body with the essential nutrition it needs to keep going for miles and miles and hours and hours.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole gel thing. Doesn't seem that appealing as far as texture, but I'll still try it. I'm interested in all these unique energy boosting products.

GU Chomps

Kona Kase - May Review

Chomps share 90+% of GU Energy Gels's DNA, which means that these tasty little bites will give you the carbs, amino acids, electrolyte and antioxidants that you'll need to perform at your highest level. Pop one of these batboys every 45 min. of exercise to keep the dream alive.

These are new to me too. Although I'm no athlete, I gotta keep up with the little ones, know what I'm saying!

GU Recovery Brew

Kona Kase - May Review

GU Recovery Brew has reinvented this category by combining performance and taste. By using premium quality ingredients, like whey protein isolate, as well as amino acids, electrolytes and  vitamins, GU has created a superior product that will help quickly replenish energy stores and rebuild muscles after intense workouts.

Not sure how this will taste. I get a funny feeling about powdered chocolate beverages, so we'll see how this goes?

Oh Yeah! Almond Fudge Brownie

Kona Kase - May Review

This wasn't on the product info card, but I'm sure they have a website if you want more info on them.

Everything about this says yum! Almond fudge brownie you will be in my tummy very soon!

Kind Plus Bar

Kona Kase - May Review

This also wasn't on the info card, but it was in my box last month and it was one of my favourites. I'm glad I get to eat it again!

So even though I wasn't going to get this month's box, I'm glad I did. There was a lot of different type snacks in the box and I'll enjoy just about everything.
