The Julep Speckled for Spring Mystery Box offered two exclusive speckled polishes, Emerson (a spring-inspired powder blue crème with black speckles) and Kimberly (a spring-inspired wisteria crème with black speckles), and a value of over $100. I am always a sucker for the Mystery Boxes and thought the speckled polish looked interesting. What made it even more irresistible was the promo code (now expired) that was floating around, so of course, I had to get a box.
Cost: $24.99 + shipping
I chose Emerson and had my fingers crossed that this box would be as good as my last Mystery Box. I had seen a few other reviews and from what I had seen, they were slightly disappointing. Each box was different though, so I had hope that I would get a good box. This box took forever to get here. I was stalking the tracking like you wouldn’t believe - finally it’s here!

From the first look, it looked alright! I had a sigh of relief and dug in to see what was inside. Let’s check it out!
Julep Glycolic Hand Scrub
I’ve tried a small tube of this before and liked it. This is a product I would only use occasionally, but it does leave your hands noticeably softer and the scent is pleasant.

Julep Lip Vernis (Peony)
A nude blush crème that's ultra-creamy, long-wearing gloss has a mirror like finish. I love this shade and so happy I got a lip product! It has a nice scent and doesn’t contain parabens or sulfates.

Nail Polish

Josephine - Deep teal grey crème. This colour is deep and the shade is totally something I’d wear.
Tatiana - Golden burnt orange micro glitter. I’m least excited about this colour. I’ll be passing it along.

Max - Black and white graffiti top coat. Gawd, I love you! I gasped when I saw it. I can not wait to have some fun with this one!
Yumi - Pink, silver and holographic glitter. Very cool and pretty. I love glittery nail polishes, but it’s a nightmare to remove. If you have any tricks to get it off easily and fast, please let me know.
Emerson - A spring-inspired powder blue crème with black speckles. Aww, you’re just as pretty as I thought you’d be! I have nothing like it in my expanding collection. It's such a perfect Spring colour!

A little bonus, a sample of Julep’s Luxe Repair Skin Serum and some Forget-Me-Not seeds.

Ok, I’m so happy I got this box! I like every product except one nail polish. So far I’ve been lucky with the Mystery Boxes I’ve received. This box isn’t available anymore, but they come along fairly often.
If you’re not a Julep Maven, you can sign up and get your first box FREE (you just pay for the $2.99 shipping)! Boxes cost $19.99, but sign up now, after May 1st the cost will go up to $24.99 or sign up for 3 months and pay only $19.99/month!
