JDM Accessory Vault is a new subscription box for me. I really enjoy the ideas that these apparel boxes offer. Let’s face it, I love getting a new pair of socks. The mix of unique accessories makes it fun to get into a new box and see what is inside.

You will receive a combination of watches, belts, belt buckles, crazy socks, sunglasses, silk ties, knitted ties, bow ties, bracelets, cuff links, tie bars, scarves, pocket squares, and more. If it's a male fashion accessory, chances are you will eventually receive it. The styles are usually in business, business casual and casual.

Plaid Bow Tie
A clip on bow tie that will definitely get you some attention. I am not happy about the imbalance of colours on either side here, but I am pretty sure the lack of symmetry is in. Dark squares on one side with lighter colours on the other. Nice quality fabric with a soft smooth texture.
Plaid Pocket Square
A matching cotton plaid pocket square with nice stitched edges.
Tie Lapel Pin
A lapel pin of a grey tie with white polka dots. The pin has a nice stopper on the end so you don’t lose it. One suggestion from JDMAV for sticking the lapel pin in the event you don’t want a hole in your suit is to stick a piece of tape on the back side of the pin, behind your lapel.
Socks
A nice pair of socks but the pattern is not plaid and more a block pattern. I do not feel that the colours match with the plaid, looks like the wrong colour temperature. The socks are more a maroon and beige while the plaid is bright blues and greens.
The combination of colours for the different plaid accessories make this functional with a lot of suits. Just make sure you have a shirt that works like a solid and this will help the plaid to really pop. The lapel pin doesn’t really work for me, but I will wear it and see what kind of comments I get. I think it would work with an off colour grey suit but I like to stick these things on my jackets like my navy pea coat. Overall I am not thrilled by the plaid. I am sure someone will be so I am not going to hold their pattern choice against them. It is a nice little collection of pieces that would be a welcome addition to a wardrobe and the plaid will definitely reach outside the box.
