ipsy Glam Bag Review – March 2014

I didn’t peek at my Glam Room, so this month was a complete surprise. Looks like ipsy is doing something new with the Glam Bags. The print on the bag is a selection from artist Klari Reis’ geography-based series, “Street Anatomy”, and showcases San Francisco, CA (Reis’ hometown and ipsy headquarters). This is just the first of many in ipsy’s new Artist Series.

Pixi Beauty Flawless Beauty Primer
12ml

I was having a hell of a time trying to find out the amount in a full size bottle, but I couldn't find it anywhere and just gave up. I haven't used it on my face yet, but did try a little on my hand and it did match my skin tone and blended easily, so I think this has potential.

Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner
$24

I will say this is a great product; vibrant colour, smudge-proof, quick drying, no feathering etc., but out of all the products I have selected in my beauty profile, eyeliner is the one product I didn’t want. I would’ve been happier with any other product they were giving out this month. I will gladly swap with anyone who wants this. I really wanted the Be A Bombshell Bora Bora Eyeshadow Quad. It is gorgeous!

NYX Love in Rio Eye Shadow (Segredos De Giselle)
$6

I love NYX eyeshadow palettes! They have so many beautiful shades and these natural nudes will compliment my eye colour well! I’m happy with this.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick (Get Ready)
$7.50 / 0.05 g

A warm, rosy pink that will go well with all skin tones. Creamy, super-saturated, ultra-pigmented color glides on like butter for full coverage in a rich satin finish. I think it’s so pretty and can’t wait to wear it!

ipsy Glam Bag Review – March 2014

I was a little surprised to see only 4 products this month, I’m so used to getting 5! Plus, ipsy hasn’t updated or changed the bonus items, so I couldn’t redeem my points for anything new - bummer! Still I am pretty happy with everything I received.

How did you like your ipsy Glam Bag this month? If you don’t subscribe, I’d totally recommend it! It’s been a favourite of mine. It’s always exciting to receive!
