I am back from the Rockies and I was grateful for all the snacks I packed for my climbing trips. I was there for 7 days and climbed for 4 days. I had mentioned that I was going in my last review. Having the variety and nutrition that comes from Fit Snack helped me achieve my goals. This is not a sales pitch. I was genuinely appreciative of the different options I could carry everyday. I always had something different. Also the majority of the treats were very light thus not weighing down my pack when I had 8 hours of climbing ahead of me. This month, I need to get back into a routine and quick energy and healthy choices are going to be a focus for me. Let us see what Fit Snack has to offer this month.

The info card has the usual 4 week Fit Snack Fitness Challenge and it also has a handy hot cocoa recipe. It is handy because most of the ingredients are found in the box. I thought this was a great idea to help you find different ways to try some of the items. Just a really thoughtful idea in my opinion.

Elmhurst Harvest Pistachio Milk
Emlhurst Havest is a new and innovative line of non-dairy pistachio milk alternative. Gluten, dairy, soy, GMO and guilt free. I made two smoothies using this product. I usually use water and I was impressed with the flavour that the pistachio milk delivered. I found it had a nice consistency and was not too watery like rice milk. It really brought my smoothie to a whole new level.

Dandies Marshmallows
By far the most fun product in this month's box and does it ever go well with the hot cocoa recipe. Dandies Marshmallows are made with all natural ingredients, gelatin free, non-GMO project verified and kosher.

Bite Fuel Protein Cookies
These are not your average cookie. They have 18 grams of whey protein isolate per bag and are perfect for a snack at the office or before a workout. These are also non-GMO and gluten-free.
Vintage Italia's Pasta Chips
Pasta chips marries Tuscan-inspired chips with different seasonings based on regional Italian favourites. The alfredo sauce recipe is steeped in hundreds of years of Italian culture and living. I did enjoy these but I found them a bit salty for an Alfredo flavoured taste.

Raw Rev 100
This is a 100 calorie snack and is certified USDA organic. This organic superfood bar is packed with nutrients and plant-based proteins. It is also vegan, gluten-free, kosher and non GMO. This is a seriously tiny yet dense snack.
Detour Simple Bar
Your body will love Detour's wholesome whey protein and healthy fiber and it will thank you for skipping the artificial ingredients, gluten, GMO's, sugar alcohols and trans fats.

Barney Almond Butter
There are three samples in the box. These are on the go snack packs and perfect for lunches, travel or any other activity like running or paddling.
Electro-Bites (Pumpkin Spice)
We have seen these in many Fit Snack boxes. A bonus sample to go along with all the other goodies. Alas, I still do not like these. Electro-Bites are designed specifically for endurance athletes to help extend training and improve race performance. Designed as an alternative to the sweet and sticky products currently on the market each 100 calorie pack contains bite sized snacks that are slightly salty in taste. They contain all-natural ingredients including coconut oil and agave syrup. They are designed to dissolve easily in a dry mouth and absorb quickly into your system.

Hotze Vitamins
HealthyPak offers doctor designed vitamin packs to keep your energy levels high and immune system strong. Keep in mind that a regular course of these vitamins will run you $39/month. Ouch!

I like Fit Snack. It is one box that I find practical enough and relevant to my lifestyle that I enjoy receiving every month. I think it is well worth the money. Every month you are getting a variety of quality products. Getting to try different products that you might otherwise pass up is an obvious bonus. I am constantly grabbing something for the box and adding it to a lunch or a workout. With hockey season about to start, I often need an energy boost to keep me going. Fit Snack introduces me to new options and healthy alternatives.
