Explore Local Box is a new monthly subscription box which provides customers an opportunity to explore a different US city each month through local products and food. Explore Local Box was created to support locally made, small business, and artisan products from different US cities. By exploring them, we can discover what cities have in common with where we live as well as the differences that make each city unique. Each box will also include a map as well as a fact sheet on the given city. They also have included a kid add-on to the boxes so the whole family can explore the city.

April box brings us to Boston, MA. The box didn't have an info card, but there is a card with Boston facts.
Taza Chocolate (Cacao Puro)
This chocolate is made from stone ground, organic Mexican-style 70% dark chocolate discs bursting with bold flavour and texture. I've tried this chocolate before and it has a gritty texture. There are two discs in each package, perfect for sharing.
McCrea's Caramels (Classic Vanilla)
This pillow box contains 5 caramels generously infused with sweet, aromatic vanilla. They're very yummy...sticky on the teeth, but yummy.
Hearth and Harrow Kitchen Herb Tea Towel
This large natural cotton flour sack tea towel is screen printed with an original kitchen herb drawing. These are hand-printed in small batches using environmentally friendly water-based ink. I really like this design, it's perfect for draping over your oven handle, lining your bread basket, or folded neatly at the dinner table.
Boston Spice Two, if by Sea Spices
This spice blend can be used on vegetables or seafood. It has a delicate blend of lemon, tarragon, and green peppercorns.
Doves & Figs Jam (Falling Leaves)
This jam is made of rich dark Mission figs blended with local apples and Cape Cod cranberries and a hint of orange. Pairs beautifully with cheese!
J. Larrabee Photography Card
This card is a picture that Jessica, Explore Local Box's founder took. It was printed it off and made into a card. The card is blank on the inside and comes with a white envelope.
April's Explore Local Box has a total value just under $42. I love these type of regional boxes! They're great for those who travel, but for those who don't or can't, you get to experience a bit of what that city has to offer without actually being there. The overall value is very good considering that small business boxes like this are more about the experience than value. I look forward to seeing more from Explore Local Box!
