Coco Rocha Fancy Box Review – December 2013

Phew! I am almost had a panic attack when I saw my Coco Rocha Fancy Box! There was a slight f*#! up with my December box. Long story short, but I received the wrong items in my box. Thank god for social media! If I hadn’t seen what other people received on Instagram, I would've assumed that my box was the same as everyone else’s. Fancy sent me the right box and all is well. So this review was put off until I received the box I was supposed to get.

If you’re not familiar with Fancy Box, let me bring you up to speed. Fancy offers several celebrity curated Fancy Boxes, as well as their regular Fancy Boxes. The Coco Rocha Fancy Box is my personal favourite and each month you’ll receive a box filled with her latest faves – things like jewelry, nail polish, tech products and other cool things. Each Fancy Box will have more than $80 worth of stuff inside.

Cost: $39 / month + shipping ($7.95 to U.S. or $17 to Canada)

Quay Sunglasses (Marley)
$40

Oh cool, sunglasses! I’ve seen others get various models of these sunglasses. Unfortunately, I don’t like how these look on me, but luckily I found someone who’s willing to swap sunglasses with me.

Ted Baker Beauty Spot Manicure Kit
$50

The set contains five different instruments to keep your nails in shape, including nail files, scissors and clippers. The casing is made from a blossom print faux leather with embossed writing 'Ted's Beauty Spot'. I'll be able to keep my nails looking great with this very cute kit.

Pendleton Notebook Collection
$13

Bundled together like a stack of Pendleton blankets, this set of three notebooks is rich with texture and tradition. Each center-stitched notebook features heritage Pendleton patterns on the cover and lined, uncoated paper within. I'm obsessed with notebooks! Like Coco, I always have a notebook with me to jot down stuff and I prefer to actually write things down then use a device to take notes. I love these notebooks and the size (6 x 8.5 in) is right for me, not too big and not too small.

Rifle Paper Co. Greeting Card
$5

Sending cards is great and who wouldn’t love receiving a cute card like this, especially for no reason. While I like the card, I would’ve preferred to get something a little better than this in the box.

Coco Rocha Fancy Box Review – December 2013

All in all, I like this box as a whole. It definitely feels like a Coco box, so it doesn't disappoint in the curation. Over $100 worth of merchandise - not bad at all! My only issue is why did Fancy give out different boxes. That just makes no sense! These celebrity curated Fancy boxes don't have variations. Subscribers can always expect to receive the same items. Maybe this has happened before, I don't know, but from some photos I've seen, random boxes like mine popped up a few times. I'm grateful that Fancy sent me the right box - even they said it shouldn't have happened. Other than this unfortunate incident, this is another pleasing Coco Rocha Fancy Box.
