Bulu Box – July Review

Bulu Box - July Review
Bulu Box seemed to come a little later than usual this month. This box will be the end of my 3 month subscription plan. As of last month Bulu Box stopped shipping to Canada, so even if I wanted to renew I can’t. It’s too bad because I received an email offering 50% off their 3, 6, and 12 month subscription plans (use code SUMMER at checkout until July 31). In case you don’t know, Bulu Box is the first health, nutrition and weight loss discovery box designed to help you feel your best. Each month, you’ll get a custom box filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands to try.

Bulu Box - July Review

I liked the insert that has some hamstring workout tips from Emily Reynolds.

PowerBar Performance Energy Blends - Banana Blueberry & Apple Mango Strawberry
$4.54 / 2 servings

Bulu Box - July Review

Fuel your body before, during and after exercise with natural ingredients like bananas and blueberries. Energy Blends make the perfect on-the-go boost for the endurance athlete in you.

To me these pouches are baby food (these are not to be given to children though). I’m not sure if I’ll actually eat this, but mostly likely give it a try.

Erba Vita Acid
$1.04 / 2 tablets

Bulu Box - July Review

A balanced pH creates a health balance within your digestive system to maximize your metabolism and keep your body happy and regular. Create a feeling of whole body wellness by keeping your digestive system in check.

I’m interested in products that improve your digestive system health, so I’ll pop a couple of these.

Ripped Cream Protein Coffee Creamer
$1.06 / .71 oz

Bulu Box - July Review

Don’t settle for weak coffee - make it as ripped as you are! Ripped Cream is the first ever high-protein coffee creamer packed with vitamin D3 and 11 amino acids.

Oh I am so putting this in my morning coffee! I mean I prefer real coffee cream, but I’ll use this.

Vivarin Caffeine Alertness Aid
$0.56 / 2 tablets

Bulu Box - July Review

Driven by caffeine, Vivarin is a safe and effective method to keep your mind and body alert and focused. Use in the mornings instead of coffee or before a workout to maximize efficiency.

I will also use these, but I feel it needs to be said that we shouldn’t take these supplements on a regular basis. Any type of supplement that increases our alertness or makes you drowsy to help you sleep should be taken in moderation.

Zellies Xylitol Gum & Mints
$0.48 / 3 servings

Bulu Box - July Review

Xylitol, found in Zellies Gum and Mints, rids the mouth of sticky bacteria while promoting growth of tooth-protective bacteria.

I’m all over these. I chew gum a lot, mints not so much. I wish my samples were all gum.

Overall I like the products this month, but the value is not good. In total it came to $7.68. Excuse me, but that is not acceptable when the box is $10 a month. Yes, it included 30 days free and a $20 store credit for DailyBurn, but I never count that stuff. This is a rip off. C’mon Bulu Box this is not a good deal - what’s up with that?! If they had only thrown in a few more of each sample than it would've be worth the price. Well I’m kind of disappointed that we’re not ending on a good note, but so long Bulu Box.
