Beauty Swap with Canadian Subscription Box Addict

image

I wasn’t originally planning on doing a post of my beauty swap with Jill from CDNboxaddict, but after she swiftly did her post within hours of receiving her box, I felt I should share all the great goodies she sent me. BTW Jill’s post was very well done and I can’t even compare to how fast and thoroughly she gets posts done. So I will direct you over to her page where she explained how this swap came about. Check it out here.

From the start when we agreed to do this swap I was so excited. We exchanged our “beauty profiles” and I stated I was pretty much open to anything. The only things I didn’t want were nail polish (because I rarely wear it), serums (I have way too many) and perfume. I already had some products I knew she would like (Biore Pore Strips - which Jill likes that started this whole thing). It didn’t take me long before the budget went out the window. I was having so much fun getting things for her that I had to pull back the reins, because I could have easily kept going. I did keep in mind as she mentioned, her comments about things she liked or wanted. She was pretty open-minded too, so it was easy collecting things for her. When my box arrived, I waited until the boys were in bed to open it so I could take my time and enjoy going through everything. When I finally opened it, I was smiling from ear to ear!

First I want you to see my first look when I opened the box. I loved the tissue paper, so cute!

Alright, now are you ready to see everything!

The first thing I saw when I opened the tissue was this beautiful orange straw bag. Then I realized there was stuff inside. It was an Yves Rocher Getaway Kit. Inside there was Citrus Flower Bath Salts, Moroccan Clay Mask for Face & Hair, Gentle Eye Makeup Remover for Sensitive Eyes, Nail Polish in Pink Sorbet and Citrus Flower Shower Gel. We were laughing at this, because I sent her a Fruits & Passion Tote with products inside. As you'll see, there are a few other items that we traded that were similar. We thought it was pretty funny!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Broad Spectrum SPF 25, bareMinerals Mini Flawless Application Brush, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder with Real Cocoa, Tarte Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanner, St. Tropez One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion. Jill had teased me about some products she “might be sharing” from her Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit, so I was super excited to see what products she might send me. I was beyond happy that she ended up giving me so many from that awesome kit! I love them all! I've been wanting to try the Too Faced bronzing powder. I told Jill that I like bronzers, so I was thrilled to get this!

More products I've been wanting to try. The Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional which I believe is from her May Topbox, and the rest are more form her Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit; Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream + Broad Spectrum SPF 50+, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 20 with Dermaxyl Complex and Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30 Cream. LOVE them all!

I'm sure Jill is well aware that I love my lip products and she spoiled me with these!  From our ipsy May Glam Bag that we traded Juice Beauty in Pink, Stila Lip Glazes in Black Cherry and Holly, Stila Lip Rouge Liquid Lip Stain, Smashbox Lip Enhancing Sheer Color, and Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip Balm w/ Mango Butter. I have never tried Stila products and have really wanted to, so she did great there!

Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser, Make Up Forever Sens'Eyes, Fab First Aid Beauty Daily Face Cream & Dual Repair Face Cream. I'm always interested in trying cleansers and face creams.

image

Fresh Eyes Lash-Loving Duo - Mascara & Makeup Remover, Sephora Pro Lesson Palette -Green Eyes, and Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal 7-Day Program. I actually almost bought the Sephora Palette not long ago, so Yay for this! More facial cleansers that I'm looking forward to trying.

Deep Steep Body Butter in Grapefruit - Bergamot and The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter. As soon as I saw the yellow box I starting laughing, I got Jill the same product but in a body scrub.

image

Julep Essential Cuticle Oil, Glycolic Hand Scrub, Age Defying Hand Brightener and Toe Dividers. Jill knew I wasn't down with getting more nail polish, but I was happy to get this. My cuticles always need attention and I have wanted to try some of Julep's other products.

image

Guerlain Cils D'Enfer Maxi Lash, Elizabeth Arden Lash Enhancing Mascara, H&M Wet Wipes in Vanilla & Lime and Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Solid Perfume. I'm so glad I have some new mascara to try and I really like the scent of the Pacifica Perfume.

Miss Oops Rescue Sponge. To be used to get rid of deodorant marks on clothing. Necklace with a cocktail pendant. Ring Pop Candy. She also included a very nice birthday card with an alcohol theme. I think Jill knows I like to have a little drinky from time to time!

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Leave-In Oil, Julep Rock Star Hand Creme and Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream. I also sent Jill some Burt's Bees samples.

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Sample Pack, L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect BB Cream, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pads and Pureology Essential Repair Shampoo & Conditioner.

MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Masks, Own Lifting Eye Cream, Yves Rocher Daily Exfoliating Cleanser, Living Proof Prime Style Exyender Hair Primer and Hempz Age Defying Herbal Moisturizer. I've heard good things about the MaskerAide Masks so I'm so glad she sent me some!

I couldn't have been more happy with everything what I received! Jill did an amazing job picking out all these things for me. It was so exciting opening my box and I was just as excited to see if Jill liked hers. This was a really fun experience! Thanks so much Jill!
