Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review – March 2017

If you're new to the world of subscription boxes and you're looking for an inexpensive beauty box to test the waters, so to speak, then Beauty Box 5 would be a good box to start with. It's one of the very first boxes I subscribed to even before I started the blog 4 years ago. They've had their ups and downs, but their boxes have been much better over the last year.

Beauty Box 5 is a beauty subscription box that delivers a surprising mix of 5 pretty cosmetic samples and full sizes in an adorable box straight to your mailbox monthly. You’ll receive a mix of makeup, beauty accessories, hair, skincare, fragrance, body, and nail products.

Cost: $12/month, $30/month - Quarterly plan, $99/month - Yearly plan (USD)

Shipping: US – Free, Canada – $3

For March, The theme is "Lash Bash" and it's all about the eyes.

Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow (Copper)
$9.75

This highly pigmented eyeshadow has a rich, creamy texture. You can apply it wet or dry and it has remarkable staying power. It creates a foiled metallic look for dramatic looking eyes. I really like this shade of copper.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cosmetic Glitter (Copper)
$15

This is also a copper shade, but with more golden tones. You can apply this beautiful glitter to eyes, hair, lips, and body. Since this isn't typical eyeshadow, you'll need to use an adhering product like Bellapierre "Color Stay".

Manna Kadar Lash Extending Primer

This eyelash primer works to naturally lengthen and bulk up your lashes before applying mascara. The creamy formula features proteins to fortify hair follicles and hydrates lashes for a soft texture. Also, prevents mascara from flaking and adds an added layer to lashes giving a longer appearance.

Sweep Beauty Elisa Lashes
$15

This set includes 5 pairs of false eyelashes. I never wear false lashes, so I doubt I'll use these, but they do go with the theme of this box. The only thing is you need adhesive to apply them, which is not included in the box.

Sweep Beauty Lash Helper
$9.99

Although they didn't include adhesive, they did include this lash tool which is kind of like tweezers to help you apply the false lashes.

Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Review – March 2017

This month's Beauty Box 5 featured all products for the eyes. I like that the box was all about emphasizing one feature of your face. Last month was an all lip box, so I'm not surprised they did an all eye box. The only thing that would've made this box better was by including an adhesive for the lashes instead of two glitter eyeshadows. To me, that would just make more sense. A good box and great value, but not well-thought out.
