Hazel Lane – Los Angeles City Explorer Review – February 2014

Hazel Lane – Los Angeles City Explorer Review – February 2014

Hazel Lane is a carefully curated, surprise gift packs of goodies from a new city every month. They focus on what the city is known for and send it your way. You can expect food, drink, clothing, handcrafted items chosen by locals with the environment, social responsibility, their furry friends and CHICNESS in mind.

This is a fairly new subscription box that piqued my interest. I love the theme of a new city each month while discovering new and cool products. Hazel Lane has several box options. You can choose from City Explorer, Deluxe Explorer, Little Explorer and Mini Explorer.

Cost: $19.99-$59.99 / month + $7 shipping to Canada.

February’s city was Los Angeles. This is the City Explorer Box.

Custom fees can suck it!

Define Bottle
$15

A fruit infused water bottle. Toss some fruit in the bottle and have flavourful water all day. This is great for kids too. It’s a great way for them to get that “juice” flavour without all the sugar. I’m sure we will be using this a lot!

Knockaround Sunglasses

I love these shades and the seafoam green colour! Knockaround BIO-BASED Premiums utilize an innovative, new plastic that is created from easily renewable, non-genetically modified castor plants. The resulting sunglasses are durable, lightweight, and 53% plant-based. Packaged in a 100% cotton pouch, each pair comes with a plantable Knockaround insert card. Just plant the card, water it, and wait for the sprouts.

Hazel Lane – Los Angeles City Explorer Review – February 2014

Overall I am impressed with this box! I thought this box had a L.A. vibe to it, so it fits the theme. Hazel Lane claims the retail value of the box will always be greater than what you paid for. This box had a value of $64, so it is more than I paid for. The ladies at Hazel Lane, who are have been more than kind and considerate, upgraded my box and I really appreciate it! This box is a little on the expensive side, but I can tell you that they work hard to make sure their customers are happy. Like I always say, good customer service goes a long way and I'd recommend Hazel Lane for that alone. It's a fun subscription box and would make an awesome gift I think!

What do you think of Hazel Lane? Have you subscribed? If so, let me know which box you got and what was included. March's box is New Orleans. Now that should fun!
