This is our first review for the Harrison Blake Apparel box. I was pretty excited to see what value you get for your investment. First off, these components are supposed to integrate with style and colour. That they did, but in my opinion do they really need to? I’ll give my impression of the different pieces. I preface this with the fact that this in my personal opinion and your tastes may vary.
Cotton Necktie

It’s another tie to add to your collection, similar to something your kids are going to give you for father's day. It’s not my style at all, it’s a bit loud but the quality is good for a cotton tie. I prefer a more classic look. I will eventually shock the world and wear it out at some point.
Wood Lapel Pin

A stylish lapel pin made of wood with a few green and blue felt petals that is supposed to resemble a flower. The craftsmanship is of good quality with a solid pin to secure it to your lapel. This is not something I would usually wear. I decided to pop this on my navy pea coat and see what kind of comments I would get. Mostly, I got “that’s interesting, what is it?” or “that’s a bit feminine.”. The pin is supposed to be pinned on your suit lapel and matches the tie and other accessories. Overall the pin grew on me. I’m still wearing it on my coat.
Green Tie Bar

I don’t like this at all. Again it doesn’t fit my style. I don’t feel the need to match my tie bar colour with the colour on my tie. I have a hard time valuing this item at $18.
Nylon Strap Watch by H.B. Apparel

It’s a watch! It has a simple plain face and very nice font on the numbers. I really like the watch. The band is a bit much. The band also matches the tie’s colours. I have never felt the need for my watch band to match my tie. My thought is to replace the watch band with something more traditional. Just in this piece alone you are getting your money's worth. No, it’s not a high-end piece but it certainly looks very boutique and stylish.
Leather Bracelet

The leather bracelet is a bit much. It’s a leather braided bracelet that again, matches the tie, and not really something I would wear.
The October Harrison Blake Apparel has a total value of $115. Overall you're getting far more than the $25 investment. The quality of the items is excellent with the exception of the tie bar. Whether you like them or not is going to be the big issue. Everything matches and I am not sure that there is really a need for that. I guess you don’t need to pull it all out every time you wear the tie. It would give you options to mix and match to give you a slightly different look. It will be interesting to see what Harrison Blake Apparel delivers next month.
