MommiesFirst Box – May Review

image

My MommiesFirst Box arrived and I just could not wait to see what kind of package I would receive this month. If you’re not familiar with them this is what they are about. MommiesFirst is a subscription box for expecting moms and new moms. You can expect 4-5 products for mom and baby. While the contents are a surprise, what you can expect is a customized care package created to suit the developmental stage of your pregnancy or baby. Everything they choose is meant to help you navigate that particular month with greater ease and comfort.

They have two boxes to choose from:

For the Expectant Mom you’ll receive a care package each month during your pregnancy – and into your baby’s first year.

For New Moms, MommiesFirst delivers a care package of products for mom and baby each month. All of their care packages are tailored for the age of your baby up to 12 months in age.

$30 for one month
$90 for 3 months
$150 for 6 months (1 month free)
$300 for 12 months (2 months free)

My MommiesFirst Box has turned into my most meaningful and special subscription box! What makes them so special is they make it personal. You and your baby matter to them. Each package is tailored for the both of you. I was so happy with my first box! (Read my review here). This is exactly the type of subscription box I was searching for for my baby and myself. Even though my son is now 18 months (OMG he’s growing up so fast!) they agreed to fulfill my request for a subscription. They plan on expanding the age range within the year. This is my second box by them and was very curious to see what kind of package I would receive this month.

The theme they chose for me this month is the “Medicine Cabinet” box. Hahaha, they certainly got that right! My son is at the age where he’s literally climbing on anything and everything. It’s non-stop chasing, “no get down”, “oh my god how did you get up there”, good times! MommiesFirst knows at this age there’s going to be some bumps and bruises along the way. So they totally got me covered in that department. Here’s what I received:

Boogie Wipes
$3.99-$4.29

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

Boogie Wipes are the latest innovation in moist wipe products for busy moms, dads, and kids. With added saline, they offer quick, gentle, and effective relief of stuck on boogies(mucous) caused by the common cold and allergies. Boogie Wipes are recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.

These are going to come in so handy! Having two toddlers, I am always wiping noses. I like that they come in this convenient package, so I can throw them in my bag and have them on hand when we are out.

CleanWell All-Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes
$4.99 / 10; $6.99 / 40

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

CleanWell is all natural and non-toxic. It is made from rapidly renewable botanical sources and is part of a sustainable solution.

I always carry baby wipes wherever I go, but these are much more effective for getting rid of germs. These are going in my bag right now!

Mom’s Kisses
$22 – 2 oz.

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

100% natural, pain reliever. Works with the body’s physiology to relieve inflammation and speed healing of bumps, bruises, and sprains. Mom’s Kisses spray provides immediate absorption and relief for your active toddler. Where there is swelling Mom’s Kisses is needed.

I have a feeling I’ll be going through this bottle real quick! In fact I used it the day I got it. I used it on my 3 year old. He came home and said his arm hurt, so I sprayed some on and he said it felt better. I was kind of hoping my kisses would do it, but if Mom’s Kisses makes his boo-boos better it’s all good!

Thera-Wise Crystal Animals Antibacterial Toothbrush
$12 for 3 pack

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

Contains a functional natural mineral within the bristle of the brush. The natural mineral bristles produce a minus ion coating on the tooth surface to improve plaque removal and eliminate food build up. Due to the minus ion effect and the antibacterial properties, only water is required.

I never knew such a toothbrush existed. It may be true that I don’t need to use toothpaste with this toothbrush, but I’m more comfortable with continuing to use it. It’s a cute little toothbrush and it’s good to have an extra one around.

Thera-Wise  SHO Skin Healing Ointment
$15.99

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

SHO is a skin healing ointment that aids in wound healing, reduces skin irritation and inflammation and contains antibacterial properties. It can be used for cuts/wounds, rashes, bruises, skin irritations, burns, after sun redness and mild to moderate eczema/atopic dermatitis.

This isn’t for children. It’s for me when I somehow end up hurting myself when running to get little man off of tables, chairs, and all the crazy things he tries to climb up on. Someone always has a cut or bruise around here. So yeah, we’ll be using this!

Weleda Calendula Weather Protection Cream
$12-$13.50 / 1 oz.

MommiesFirst Box - May Review

Made to shield babies skin and lips from the harsh cold and wind during brutal winter months. With pure beeswax and gentle lanolin, it blends in easily and is ideal for babies, children, and adults who have sensitive skin.

This is great, the whole family can use this. Although we are just entering the summer season, we’ll get good use of this when the cold weather comes around. It says it’s also good for hands and chapped lips. So really you can use this anytime. It’s a versatile product from a brand that has been around a long time and really cares about baby’s sensitive skin. I love everything about it!

As you can see I’m very happy with this box! The value of the box this month is more than double the price I paid, so very much well worth it! This is one company I will continue to support. I’m proud that they are a Canadian company providing a wonderful service for moms and babies. They just celebrated their first birthday/anniversary, so they are still a young company, but they are doing it RIGHT! I highly recommend them to any expecting or new mom and their box would make a fabulous gift. I would’ve so appreciated getting this when I was pregnant or when my son was still an infant.

Have you subscribed? Do you know anyone who’s expecting or has a new baby? If so, then get them a MommiesFirst box! I’d love to hear you thoughts, so please leave me a comment.

This is an awesome box! Even though it is for babies up to 12 no, these products are still great for my two year old! I need to find those toothbrushes and the Mommies Kisses and pretty much everything else in this box! Do they ship to the US?

    • http://girlmeetsbox.com/ Lisa

I believe so, but you might want to find out for sure. They do only do babies up to 12 mos. right now, but they plan on expanding their age this year. They did a special order for me since my son is 18 mos. If you contact they might be able to work something out for you. it’s definitely worth a try!
