ipsy Glam Bag – May Review

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

I finally subscribed to ipsy and glad I did, especially this month! I saw the bag last month and it was an all pink theme (so not me!), so I’m glad I held off until this month. I have always been interested in ipsy and it’s another really great subscription, so this month I went for it. Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. I started seeing spoilers about a week or so ago and was like noooo! Let me stress I HATE seeing spoilers or what others get before me! I’m the type that likes the surprise. It kind of ruins it for me when I see what others get before I get mine. Unavoidable, unless I completely stay offline. However, after seeing some spoilers I was ok with it because I knew I was going to be happy this month. I didn’t know exactly what I’d get because they customize the Glam Bag products using a personalization tool called ipsyMatch. It’s a beauty profile you fill out when you sign up. So even though I saw different versions of the bag I still wasn’t quite sure what I was going to get. I got the tracking notice on May 9th and received on May 14th, it felt like it took forever to get here. This month’s theme was “Spring Fling” and this is what I got:

Mirabella Perfecting Powder

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

A lightweight translucent silica loose powder that sets foundation to perfect skin appearance. Ideal for all skin types and skin tones. Features 90% natural good-for-you ingredients. Talc-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, FD&C dye-free. Available in one universal shade.

This is perfect! I needed a new powder and love that it’s a loose powder at that! Good size too. Already off to a good start.

Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

This exclusive, pre-launch of the Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss will give your lips brilliant shine while keeping them healthy and nourished. A combination of antioxidant-rich acai and goji berries, natural minerals and sweet agave nectar that will give your lips radiant color! Made with certified organic ingredients.

I got it in the colour Champagne. As much as I love my lip products, this one didn’t do it for me. It just didn’t compliment my skin or lip colour. I did like that it was full size though.

Zoya Nail Polish in Neely

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

Zoya Nail Polish and Treatments puts beauty, fashion and style into every bottle with innovative custom color creations and fashion trend adaptation resulting in a truly luxury cosmetic experience. Created with the finest quality pigments and finishes, each bottle of Zoya is as special and unique as the woman who created it and whose name graces every bottle – Zoya herself! The award-winning, ultra long-wearing Zoya formula is also vegan friendly and Big5Free*.
*Formulation contains no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor.

This is a perfect spring colour - a pale, minty green! I don’t do my nails too often, but I’ll be wearing this on my toes for sure this season.

Pacifica Bronzing Body Butter

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter: Treat, enhance and illuminate. This unique Body Butter – bursting, with crushed pearls, mineral color and ultra-nourishing phytonutrients – leaves skin healthy, moisturized, smooth and sun-kissed-sexy. Coconut oil, tropical extracts, antioxidants and sea minerals hydrate and nourish.

Also something I need. I just love the scent of this, so yummy! It made me feel like I was on vacation. Actually I wouldn’t know what that feels like, I’ve never been anywhere (LOL - but really crying inside). Anyway...this should give me that subtle glow I need. Very excited to try this!

yaby Concealer Refill

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

yaby concealers have a creamy texture and are extremely easy to apply. They are highly pigmented to correct any imperfection on the face and body, are creamy and gentle for around the eyes and are tear proof! Vegan friendly and contains no animal byproducts.

Once again something I need. I’ve been looking for a new concealer, so I’m happy to give this one a try. I got it in the shade buff which might be a touch too dark for my skin right now, but should be fine once I get a little colour.

ipsy Glam Bag - May Review

Also included was a gift card for $110 0ff Nume Hair Styling Tools and Hair Extensions. I checked out the website and it is pricey stuff. I’m not sure about the conditions, but I’ll definitely see if it applies to Canada.

There was one more card showing you all the discounts for members on the brands featured this month.

For this being my first ipsy Glam Bag, I couldn’t be more happy with it! From the bag itself (cute pattern and colours) to all the products, this was a new subscription for me that I might just have to keep (at least for awhile). It’s $10 a month plus $4.95 for shipping to Canada. I would totally recommend subscribing! You’ll for sure get your money’s worth. Normally I wouldn’t do this at all, but if you do sign up please use my referral link. It would be make this mama so happy if I could get a little bonus in my next bag! So who else subscribes to ipsy? Did you like your bag this month? I want to hear about it.
