Brick Loot Review + Coupon Code – July 2016

Brick Loot is a fun box for all ages, but for my son who's six, this is one of absolute favourites! He has a massive LEGO collection, but with Brick Loot most of the boxes have exclusive builds that you can't get anywhere else which makes it even more appealing!

Brick Loot is a monthly subscription box company for LEGO and Brick fanatics! Subscribers will receive a monthly box filled with unique, custom and never-before-seen items that work with LEGO bricks and custom building. Each month your Brick Loot box is filled with 4-8 items that were hand-picked by Brick specialists who scour the world for the newest and coolest products for you to collect.

Cost: $27/month & $25/month (3 months)

Shipping: $6 - US, $13 - Canada, $15 - UK, Germany, Spain, France, Denmark, Sweden , Finland and Australia

Coupon Code: summer15 - Save 15% off any subscription plan! (new customers only)

The theme for July is "Ghost Hunters!". This is a good theme to go with since it coincides with the new Ghostbusters movie. Every box comes with an info card. I like how it's big in size and has a great visual of the theme. You also get a sticker.

PKE Meter

An exclusive custom kit by Kyle Peterson, the owner of BrickForge Miniature accessories - a third-party supplier of small-scale equipment and accessories. This Psychokinetic Energy Meter is a simple build that has 36 pieces. My son has been monitoring the area regularly to detect any unusual activity. ;)

Custom 100% LEGO Minifigure Ghost Hunter

You'll need a professional to trap those ghosts. His uniform has good details on it.

Liteup Blocks Ghost Trap Light

I think these light up blocks are always one of the best parts of the box. This month, we get a ghost trap light which is a good thing or else the Ghost Hunter would be in trouble otherwise haha!

Barrel-O-Slime

This is a barrel of black gooey slime. Before I opened it I expected it to be green, but then I saw it was black. Gross!

Plus Plus Bonus Pack

Plus Plus is a fun, interactive building system where a child can be creative and strengthen motor skills with shape, colour and form. These are great and we already have a bigger size set. I like this mini size set, it's something they can keep with them when we're out and about.

Exclusive Art Print by Dre Blank

Drew Blank is an artist and writer with an undying love for all things geeky. The print is nice, but I'd rather have gotten another kit instead of a print.

This month's Brick Loot had a fun theme, but I wish there were more kits. There really wasn't much to build in this box other than the PKE Meter which was a very basic build. The Ghost Treats Machine was cute, but again not a true building kit. The bonus items were cool though. Next month's Brick Loot theme is "Architecture Around The World" and I think it will be awesome! Boxes ships August 10th, so sign up before then if you want to get August's box.
