Binky & Oliver Subscription Box Review – July 2017

I try most of the products from the doggie subscription boxes on my Jack Russel/Beagle. She is an 8-year-old 20-pound bundle of energy named Stella. She doesn’t love everything that comes in the box but that is OK. She is a very discerning, I mean fussy, dog.

Note: All ingredients listed on the labels are identified as organic! Also made in the U.S.

Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Dog Bone Treats (100g)

Medium sized dog biscuits shaped like little dog bones. Sealed in a little container with a pull tab to seal in freshness.

Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Square Treats (100g)

Medium sized squares made with white rice flour, pumpkin, peanut butter, egg, and cinnamon. These puppies are made with the same ingredients as what was mentioned above. Hmm.

Binky Bites (120g)

A sealed bag of treats shaped like balloons, stars, and cupcakes to celebrate Binky & Oliver joining the subscription box pack. These treats are made with...wait...yup...you guessed it. The same ingredients as I mentioned in the last two treats.

Let’s Go Bananas Mini Bones

Tiny dog bones made with oat flour, rolled oats, coconut flour, applesauce, carrots, and banana. These would be great for training as they also break into smaller pieces quite easily. (80g - not listed on the package, I weighed them)

Lovable Maple Hearts

These cute little hearts are made with brown rice flour, flaxseed meal, oat flour, bacon, peanut butter, eggs and maple syrup. (180g - Not listed on the package, I weighed them)

Bonus Cookie with Icing

A cookie made of the same ingredients as the first three treats. The icing is made out of non-fat milk solids, yogurt culture, eggs whites and tapioca starch.

Binky & Oliver Subscription Box Review – July 2017

A very nice delivery from Binky & Oliver with beautifully packaged treats. The bags and containers really look like everything is homemade and specially made for your dog. I love the little ribbons with the Binky & Oliver tied around everything. One thing I find lacking is an identifying name for some treats. Overall not a big deal. The shipments going out in August will have a postcard with details.  The total expected value should be approximately $50. I find the value a bit far from my estimation. It is not possible to determine the exact value of the items if you were to buy them on your own because they are either made by Binky & Oliver or they may be repackaged. Each treat is approximately 100g and I find it hard to believe that each of these treats is worth $10 each. I did some looking around on the internet and found hand made treats in 200g offerings for approximately $6 - $8 dollars a bag. One big problem I have with the treats is that 3 of the treats are exactly the same product. The only thing that is different is the shape of the treat. Even the bonus icing treat is made of the same ingredients. In my opinion, I find the value quite a bit short. The quality of the products is right up there with the best. The ingredients are listed on each package, even the icing cookie which I have not seen before. I appreciate that! The products are made with organic ingredients so if you have a dog that has allergies, this box may be a great alternative to what is already on the market. I look forward to seeing how this subscription develops over the year especially since we have started reviewing on the ground floor. All the best Binky & Oliver!
