Bepsoke Post was originally geared towards men and still is, but some of the boxes are suitable for both men and women. There are several themed boxes to choose from, but on the 1st of each month they’ll email your new themed box selection. If you want the box, then there’s no need to do anything. If, however, your selection doesn't resonate with you for whatever reason, you have until the 5th of the month to log in to your account and opt out of the box at no charge.

This month I went with the Honed Box. The info card tells you about the knife and how it's made, along with knife skills you need to know like how you should grip the knife and cuts to know.

Ludwig Schiff 8” Chef's Knife
$80

The eight inch chef's style is the ideal one-size-fits-all addition to your culinary arsenal, since it's easy to handle and perfect for almost any kind of cut. Slice vegetables, trim meat, chop herbs, or tackle nearly anything else.

This one's made from high carbon, ice tempered stainless steel from Sweden, which gets hand crafted by old school knife makers in Solingen, Germany - home to centuries of top quality knife making. The blade starts off as a raw steel billet, which then gets hand tempered and ground to just the right shape and balance with a full tang and razor-sharp edge. They’re so good that word of mouth is the only publicity Ludwig Schiff has ever needed in the 60 years they’ve been in the business.

The knife came in this nice black box with a plastic cover over the blade. I already own a good chef's knife, but we could definitely use another since at times we're both in the kitchen cooking. The knife does fit well in my hand and serves its purpose excellently.

The box also included a chef's towel and blade saver sleeve to keep the edge nice and sharp, even when it gets knocked around in the drawer.

The Honed Box met my expectations so I'm glad to have another high-quality knife in my kitchen since it will be used pretty much daily. You're basically getting this knife for almost half price, so it's a great value. I like that they included the blade saver sleeve and I can always use more kitchen towels.
